I AM A RUMBLE IN THE JUMBLE.

I may be slowly going insane, but I am learning to type quite well on a touchscreen.  Not now, of course.  Although, just for fun, I could update it from the bedroom.  Where I should be.  Giving the cat some attention.  Screw it.  *post*

And now it has a title.

Eew eew, there’s a hair on my arm and it isn’t mine! …Well… right.

So I’m here in the coffee shop, surfin’ on the DS and going to work on a book report on my Palm (an oldish, simple little thing, as I traded my better one off in a bartering session that gained me a bookcase I’ve yet to collect on, yet a good little piece of kit that currently houses a bit of script outlining - I am going to get back to comics, dammit - ) … and I forget to bring the book along.

Smart one, I am.

So pretty soon I should be receiving in the mail a neat little memory device that should finally get me into the world of DS homebrew that I’ve so been wanting to taste since first hearing about it. I freely admit to the fault of getting overly-enthusiastic about things I’ll never ever really understand or use fully. It’s half the reason I sign up for most every new social-journal-whatever thing that pops up.

Anyway, The very first application I plan on throwing on it, DSOrganise, would effectively negate the purchase of this browser and the existence of my Palm. Should I feel like I’m betraying them? Why do I feel dirty praising this app on the very device it is going to replace?

To say there is something wrong with me would be to state the obvious, so I end this here. The only reason I started this post was so I wouldn’t feel as guilty about hanging around the coffee shop like some kind of faux-hipster for the near-sole reason of using wifi. -links and spell-checking to be applied later-

I don’t know what to put here.

Well, that was odd.  Wouldn’t let me save it with the title ‘John Cleese’.  Hunh.

Speaking of John Cleese (holy circular reasoning, Birdman?), I was oddly reminded of this infomercial he’d one done for some vacuum company.  In it he played a host only too well versed in the standards of the trade presenting a series of pitches to the vips.  They, being the ethical straight-shooters such people tend to be, only want to showcase the positive aspects of the device (some sort of cordless ultralite, I believe), while Cleese has pre-recorded his own… vision.

Explosions, thug beatings and the like ensue.  I seriously need to look that thing up.  See if I can find it.  I searched google, but only got scattershot second-hand references.

Then again, I didn’t look that hard, as I was busy trying to pry myself from the screen.  Is it even a screen anymore?  Monitor doesn’t seem like the right word, though.  Display.  Display is the right word.

Anyway, perhaps tomorrow (egads, TODAY) I’ll remember to search Youtube and the like.  Before posting this, though?  Not likely.

Awwwwwsome…

Note to self - that button does not do what you think it does.

So, in spite of the loss of my masterfully written first draft, I again attempt to make a post… on my bran-new DS!

This wasn’t so much an update (as if anyone really cares) so much as a test to see if the Wordpress interface would work on the browser. Surprise, it does.

Wit this information, I now have the ability to post from where ever I want, whenever I want*. Such as the bathroom.

Ooh, falling short of me decifering the mystery of homebrew, I could combine this with gmail (for some reason, it refuses to cooperate with hotmail) and turn it into an impromptu text editor!

Wow, I’m getting good with the touch-screen keyboard.

Anyway, this weren’t much but a test, so I’mma gonna skeedaddle now. YEEE-HAWWWR!!!

*as long as said place has working, unlocked wifi

Hold on… h-hold on.. just a sec.. hold on..

Almost done.  Mostly colored (magnetic lasso + fill ftw! The second time-saver I’ve learned from a how-to video.), it’ll be done tomorrow and then I’ll start working on… well, I’ll start working on homework.  But after THAT, I’ll do the next one, as I’ve already got it “scripted”.

I think I like ScribeFire, even if it doesn’t have Foxytunes.  It keeps my indents.  Indents are important.

And now I’m going to FORCE myself into bed before 11.  Even if I don’t get to sleep, at least the cat’ll get some good petting time.

I remember a time when I went to sleep before midnight…. VOLUNTARILY!

Comic is, like, 2.5/4ths of the way done.  It seems like every time I sit down to do it, someone calls me and I have to go do something.  Today’s something was a barbecue in the park for my friend who’s temporarily back from Iraq.  It was supposed to start at 2.  I got there about five minutes early.  The next person to show up came at three.  It took until four for most everyone to show up.  My complete lack of fashion burrows deep; beyond my clothing and into my lateness.

Tomorrow’s something is that I’ve got to stay at my dad’s almost all day.  I say ‘got to’ as in ‘he still needs occasional help getting things done, plus it’s good to have someone to be there just in case’.  I don’t mean it as a chore.  Also, I’ve got some homework for 3D Fundamentals that involves me carving large pieces of cardboard, and this affords me the opportunity to do so.  Another bit of homework is I need to finish reading chapter 2 of Orlando, go over it again and build a ‘map’ of it.  I think I’ll try to do mine in the form of a big ol’ comic.  Go with what you know, right?  But that’s not due until thursday.

Nearly ran out of space on my C drive today.  Had about 100 megs left.  Yeah, I started deleting stuff.  Got it up to a handful of gigs.  It got so severe because I was transferring a series from the external to the desktop because a previous burning attempt had failed.  It filled it up with everything except the last episode.  I’ve got a goodly amount of old software on here.  First thing next months check (well, first after rent and all)?  I’m getting a bigger external.  Should solve some of my problems.

**looks at clock**  Oh, god… **dies**
